H is for Hawkman

Another static pose, anyway...

Here I wanted to go for the adventurer meets warrior look hence the modern bottom half. I wanted to go for an Egyptian look but their armor designs (the few that I saw) didn't do it for me so I designed my own to avoid the He-Man look Hawkman usually has.

If I was in charge ancient Egypt would of had a league of their own comprised of Hawkman, Black Adam and Fate. The official back story of this character is too convoluted for my liking, rather than reincarnation I would have had the armor retain battle knowledge due to the nth metal properties but whatever. it also would have been cool if Carter had worked with the Batsons as well

Back to the actual design, I wanted to go for mechanical wings but it felt like overkill with the metal. The helmet was heavily influenced by the DCAU designs, I figure the helmet houses the rest of the costume like Dr. Fate.
